The Orchestrator Module

The Barnaby Orchestrator is a persistent management engine designed to coordinate high-volume agentic operations. While the core IDE provides the interface, the Orchestrator provides the tactical logic required for autonomous development.

Capabilities & Functionality

The Orchestrator moves beyond single-turn interactions. It is built to maintain "World State" across multiple agent windows, allowing for complex, multi-stage engineering tasks.

Cross-Agent State Synchronization The system allows agents to share context variables. A backend agent can signal schema changes to a frontend agent in real-time, ensuring code consistency across the stack.
Persistent Goal Persistence Unlike standard LLM sessions, the Orchestrator stores a hierarchy of goals. If an agent fails a task or hits a rate limit, the Orchestrator pauses, preserves the state, and resumes once conditions are met.
Deterministic Guardrails Define rigid technical boundaries. The Orchestrator intercepts agent output to verify it adheres to your project’s linting rules and security policies before it is committed to the workspace.

Development & Licensing Notice

The Orchestrator is currently in an Alpha development phase. While the core Barnaby IDE is open-source and free to use, the Orchestrator is a specialized add-on module.

Licensing and availability for the Orchestrator add-on will be announced when it moves beyond alpha.
